Uptime
Valor PayTech, a leading omnichannel fintech provider serving ISOs and merchants, required an always-available payment infrastructure capable of meeting stringent financial-sector uptime, compliance, and continuity expectations. Their entire production and backup environment ran on Rackspace – creating a single point of failure with no cross-cloud redundancy.
Transcloud designed and implemented a cross-cloud Disaster Recovery solution on Google Cloud, enabling true geographic redundancy, synchronous multi-master replication, compliance-ready architecture, and sub-15-minute recovery for mission-critical payment transactions.
Key Outcomes:
Valor PayTech’s payment gateway demanded continuous 24/7/365 availability, strict regulatory compliance, and zero tolerance for downtime. However, their infrastructure—fully dependent on Rackspace—created operational and regulatory risk. As the product footprint expanded and market expectations for the uptime grew, the limitations of their single-cloud architecture became a critical barrier.
They needed a robust, multi-cloud disaster recovery strategy capable of eliminating single-cloud exposure, protecting transactional integrity, and ensuring uninterrupted service to ISOs and merchants.
Key Challenges:
Transcloud performed an in-depth assessment of Valor PayTech’s production databases hosted on Rackspace, mapping dependencies, identifying replication requirements, and validating all compliance needs for handling payment data. Based on this, we designed a secure and PCI-aligned cross-cloud database disaster recovery setup on Google Cloud. A dedicated DR environment was configured with segregated VPCs, hardened IAM controls, and encrypted connectivity to ensure that the customer’s databases could fail over without requiring modifications to the existing application stack. The architecture focused entirely on database resilience, ensuring continuity while maintaining strict financial-grade security standards.
To guarantee real-time data integrity, we implemented a Galera Cluster–based multi-master database replication setup, enabling synchronous replication between Rackspace and GCP with near-zero lag. The operational framework was strengthened through automated monitoring, replication health checks, proactive alerting, and comprehensive DR runbooks for activation and failback. Regular non-disruptive DR tests ensured continuous reliability, and Valor PayTech’s internal team was fully trained on managing the new cross-cloud disaster recovery environment. This robust, database-centric DR foundation now provides predictable failover readiness and long-term operational confidence across both environments.

Transcloud’s cross-cloud DR architecture helped Valor PayTech achieve a far more resilient, compliant, and always-available payment environment. The company moved from a vulnerable single-cloud setup to a robust multi-cloud infrastructure with zero data loss, near-instant recovery, and significantly higher confidence across its merchant and ISO ecosystem.
Valor PayTech needed a partner capable of delivering a compliant, secure, and highly available cross-cloud architecture while ensuring zero transaction loss and enterprise-grade controls. Transcloud combined deep cloud, DR, and financial-services expertise to deliver a resilient, scalable solution tailored for mission-critical payment workloads.
